The company has several stores in different fields in Russia. For Russian business Kesko bought an electronic version of the Business Atlas “Food Retail in Moscow” in the Center for Spatial Research. Kesko used it for development their own network of supermarkets. Using the atlas, the company can see the population by districts, calculate the number of households by locatios and by municipalities, evaluate average traffic on the major streets and highways.

UniCredit Bank is the largest bank with foreign capital in Russia. The company is aimed at the stable growth of the bank, and therefore analyzes the efficiency of its branches and ATMs constantly. The company increases the geography of its network, trying to attract new customers. For the analysis of new territories, UniCredit Bank used a client web access to www.geointellect.com which is an online system, giving business users the opportunity to perform geomarketing analysis of a variety of Russian cities.

PRISMA is a leader in the retail trade in Finland and also operates in Russia and Baltics. In St. Petersburg the company is present since 2008, constantly increasing its network.

To determine the most appropriate place to open new stores in St. Petersburg the company uses  geomarketing indicators among others. The Center for Spatial Research’s provided PRISMA a geodatabase of postcode zones (zip codes) for St. Petersburg.

Walmart is known as the company that utilises modern solutions and technologies in all aspects of business in order to increase revenue and to decrease expenditures. For identification of the most suitable locations of its stores the company applies up-to-date site selection software.

To increase efficiency of Walmart’s site selection process Center for Spatial Research has provided the company with the set of precise geodata specially collected aggregated and transformed to meet requirements of Walmart. As the result the international retail owns valuable and unique geographical information (population, value assets, traffic, and more)  of Russian cities which will allow the company efficiently perform its penetration strategy.

Leroy Merlin the French DIY retail chain is actively operating in Russia. The company is already opened 14 stores, and plans to open more. For efficient expansion strategy the Company is applying results of site selection research provided by the Center for Spatial Research. In May 2010 Center for Spatial Research conducted a series of geomarketing courses for Leroy Merlin marketing specialists as a part of multifacet cooperation between two companies.

Home Credit Bank is using modern CRM solutions to efficiently serve its customers and perform CRM marketing strategies. The company has a already opened a large number of locations throughout Russia and plans to increase its operations in the Russian market. In order to utilise its CRM system in Russia the company had to get a precise set geodata of all 82 Russian regions. Due to great insufficiency of geographical information in Russia Home Credit could not purchase the required data from any supplier. Center for Spatial Research was able to solve this issue and created all the required geodata for Home Credit from scratch. As the result Home Credit is able to use its CRM system in Russia on 100%.

Sberbank the largest bank in Eastern Europe and the oldest bank in Russia having more than 20 000 location around Russia is providing modernisation of the whole company starting from corporate branding and finishing redevelopment of its branch network. Center for Spatial Research (CRS) has analysed the whole network of Sberbank in one of the large sities in Siberia in order to identify “trouble” locations. CSR has also provided Sberbank of Baikal Region with thorough geomarketing research on optimisation of existing network and identification of potential sites for opening a new branches.

real,- the German hypermarket network (METRO Group) opened its first store in Russia in 2005. Within the next 3 years, 8 stores were opened in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Volgograd. Today real,- operates with 15 stores in Russia. Center for Spatial Research has provided a geomarketing research of potential turnover of hypermarket planned to be open in St.Petersburg. The task was to build a geographically-accurate time coverage zones around the planned store and to provide a thorough socio-demographic and economic analysis of population of these time zones.
Center for Spatial Research has also provided the Company with comprehensive analysis of competitive landscape within trade area of the future
